Refund policy

At Elena Designs, every piece is handmade with great care and attention to detail. We want you to feel happy with your purchase, so here are answers to the most common questions about returns, exchanges, shipping, and special situations.

Can I return an item?

Yes, we accept returns within 10 days of your purchase, as long as:

  • The item is in perfect condition and unused

  • It is returned in its original packaging

Please note, we do not accept returns on the following:

  • Earrings (for hygiene reasons)

  • Discounted items

  • Custom orders

  • Gift cards

Can I exchange an item?

At the moment, we do not offer direct exchanges.
If you’d like a different item, you may:

  • Return the item you purchased

  • Receive store credit (a digital Gift Card)

  • Use the credit to place a new order

How do I request a return?

  • Email us at elenamendezdesign@gmail.com with your order number

  • We will send you detailed return instructions

  • Once we receive and inspect the item, your store credit will be issued

Please note: We do not offer refunds to your original form of payment.

How does store credit work?

Once your return is approved, you will receive a digital Gift Card via email with the value of your returned item.
You can use it at checkout on your next order.

Processing time: 3 to 5 business days after we receive the item.

What if my item arrived damaged?

We’re truly sorry. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include a photo of the damage.
If applicable, we will arrange for a free repair or replacement.

After this period, repairs may still be available for a fee.

What does your repair policy cover?

We cover manufacturing defects reported within 10 days of delivery.

We do not cover:

  • Damage from misuse or improper care

  • Color changes due to water, sweat, or skin pH

  • Scratches, tarnishing, or normal wear of the gold plating

Who covers the return shipping?

The customer is responsible for all shipping costs related to returns, repairs, or exchanges.
We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit.

What if my package is lost?

Once your package is correctly shipped to the address you provided, Elena Designs is not responsible for lost or misdelivered packages due to customer address errors.

If the package is returned to us in perfect condition, we may issue store credit.

What if I have an allergic reaction?

Each case is reviewed individually.
Our pieces are gold-plated and may react differently depending on your skin’s pH.
Reactions or changes in color are not grounds for a return or refund.

How long does it take to receive my order?

  • Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays

  • Processing time: 2 to 3 business days

  • Shipping time depends on your location

  • International orders may be subject to customs duties or taxes, which are the buyer’s responsibility
